Valdosta City Schools Teaching and Learning Department received the United Way Jenkins Community Support Grant. VCS received $500 to purchase books for the Wildcats on Wheels (W.O.W.) bus initiative.
As a Title 1 school district, our mission is to foster early literacy and bridge educational gaps by delivering books and literacy activities directly to students and families in our community. With United Way's support, we are able to further stock the W.O.W. bus with books, empowering children who may not otherwise have access to these resources.
We deeply appreciate the role United Way plays in supporting community-centered programs like ours! GO CATS GO!!
We are NOW accepting gently used/new books. Please contact Kendal Crawford kendal.crawford@gocats.org or 229-671-6023 if you would like to make a contribution.
