On December 19, 2024 over half of Valdosta High School's International Baccalaureate (IB) juniors and seniors set off on an unforgettable field trip to Atlanta, GA.

They explored the High Museum of Art, where they marveled at diverse exhibits, including "Giants" curated on loan by Alicia Keys. This visit also offered a chance for IB Juniors to explore artifacts for their Theory of Knowledge Exhibitions—an essential step toward earning their IB Diploma.

Next, they toured Georgia Tech, where our own Bryce Jackson, a full-ride STAMPS Presidential scholarship recipient, shared insider info and insights about campus life. At the World of Coca-Cola, students dove into the history of Georgia's soda entrepreneurs and even sampled a variety of colas!

With dedicated chaperones, including Robert Carillo, Jarrod Wayne, Angela Galm, Heather Soto, Noel Carter, Narci Drossos, and Donna Hall, this trip was packed with learning, fun, and adventure. We can't wait for next year’s trip!
