Valdosta High School was designated as a Distinguished Unit with Honors for the 2024-25 school year. This highly regarded distinction is made in recognition of the outstanding support provided by VHS and the overall achievement of its Navy Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps (NJROTC) unit during the 2023-24 school year.
The Distinguished Unit with Honors designation is awarded annually to schools whose NJROTC Program ranks in the top 20 percent of the programs in each NJROTC area. Competing units are ranked according to degree of excellence attained in administration, academic performance, military proficiency and host school support. This award also designates VHS as a Naval Honor School.
This recognition is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and exceptional leadership displayed by the students, staff, and supporting community of Valdosta High School. We are proud of their continued commitment to excellence, and we look forward to the continued success of the NJROTC program in the years ahead. Congratulations, Valdosta High School, on this outstanding achievement!
