VCS Students Shine at South Region Helen Ruffin Reading Bowl

This weekend Pinevale Elementary, Sallas Mahone Elementary, J.L. Newbern Middle, Valdosta Middle and Valdosta High School participated in the South Region Helen Ruffin Reading Bowl at Valdosta State University. Valdosta Middle and Valdosta High School won third place and their teams are coached by Julie Morris and Ebonye Bennett. Mrs. April Doyle did the welcome for the elementary bowl and Dr. Craig Lockhart did the welcome for the middle and high school bowl. Michelle Beaufort and Ebonye Bennett are the regional coordinators for this event.
