Ms. Kelisa Brown of District 2 has been appointed as the new Chair for Valdosta Board of Education, succeeding Mrs. Tyra Howard, whose dedication and service have greatly contributed to the progress of our district. In addition, Mrs. Tia Heard of District 1 has been elected as the Vice Chair, bringing her strong commitment and leadership to this important role.
We are confident that under Ms. Brown’s leadership and with Mrs. Heard’s support, the Valdosta Board of Education will continue to prioritize the success and well-being of our students, educators, and community. We extend our gratitude to both leaders for their willingness to serve and look forward to the continued advancement of educational excellence in Valdosta.
