Earlier this morning, the Valdosta Fire Department responded to a small fire inside a restroom at Pinevale Elementary School. The fire was quickly extinguished, and all students and staff are safe and accounted for. Due to the sensitivity of the fire alarms on campus, additional alarms were triggered. VFD as well as first responders with the Valdosta Police Department remain on-site to ensure continued safety. Classes are ongoing, and the school day is proceeding as usual.
