The September and October 2023 District Leadership Meeting Team meetings brought together school and district level administrators for a productive day of professional development, learning and strategic organizational planning.
Congratulations to Mrs. April Doyle, VCS ELA Curriculum Director, who was the September recipient of the prestigious “William the Wildcat” award for her dedication to improving literacy in Valdosta City Schools! She was selected by the August 2023 recipient, Mr. Royce Thomas, Principal of J.L. Newbern Middle School .
Mrs. Doyle selected Dr. Tret Witherspoon from J L Lomax Elementary School as the October 2023 "Willie the Wildcat" recipient. Witherspoon was chosen because of his active participation and valuable input throughout the meeting. We cannot wait to see who takes Willie home in November!
