PROMISE Program School

The acronym PROMISE means Promoting Relationships through Opportunities, Mentoring, Interventions, Support, and Education. The PROMISE Program was created to provide intensive socio-emotional interventions and support for elementary-aged students with chronic or ongoing behavior difficulties that have interfered with learning.  Here at PROMISE, the goal is to create a learning environment that will enable students to succeed once they return to their homeschool (the referring school).

Students are considered for the PROMISE Program after receiving behavior support and interventions at their homeschool. A referral to the PROMISE Program will be completed by the administrator and will include close collaboration with parent(s)/guardian(s), student support services, and community agencies, as needed.

For more information, contact your child’s principal or the Director of the PROMISE Program, Russell Jackson at (229-671-1637).

PROMISE is also the home of the district K-5 Autism Classrooms. This Program is known as CAPS, Comprehensive Autism Program Support. We are proud of the fact that our building works with a variety of student needs.
