Vision Statement

To provide and maintain a clean, safe, and healthy building environment maintained at required standards for the use and enjoyment of the students, staff, and public ensuring that our campuses meet our customer's expectations while remaining conducive to teaching and learning.

 

Mission

The Custodial Department provides and maintains the physical environment of each school facility and building within the system. The department’s primary purpose is keeping the buildings clean and sanitary through daily maintenance of each facility, creating and maintaining a comfortable, safe, and functional teaching and learning environment. The custodial staff recognizes the investment that the Valdosta City School System makes in providing its district with modern, up-to-date schools and takes pride in caring for these facilities in the most cost effective manner by keeping informed of the newest products and cleaning methods and providing them with a service worthy of recognition. Therefore, the custodial department strives to exceed the expectation of our customer, defined as students, parents, guests, teachers, staff, administration, and fellow employees through committing to shared values and achieving the highest level of customer satisfaction with an implausible emphasis on the creation of partnerships and teamwork.
