 The Newbern Middle School Library Media center is an integral part of the instructional program of this school. Our MISSION is to support the curriculum and to ensure that students and faculty are effective 21st Century users of ideas and information. The primary role of the Teacher- Librarian is to teach information-seeking strategies and research skills within subject areas that support the curriculum while collaborating with classroom teachers.

Accessibility and Scheduling: The Newbern Middle School Media Center provides accessibility for students and staff from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. each school day. The media center operates on an open/flexible scheduling concept that allows all of its patrons to use its services throughout the day.

Students can access Destiny Discover, which is our card catalog for our school in which they can access ebooks and do research.  Students can read ebooks by simply going to our website and going to the Students tab and click on Destiny Discover.  

Students can log in to Destiny Discover by using their lunch number for their username and password.  Students MUST sign in to check out ebooks.
